About Sarvodaya
Sarvodaya was set up to promote peaceful co-existence between humans and animals. In June 2009, like-minded Veterinarians and other professionals came together to form an organization which would help secure the rights of all creatures to life and dignity, through animal welfare and registered as a Trust in December 2011 in Bangalore.
Sarvodaya’s flagship program is the Animal Birth Control Program (ABC), which aims to reduce street dog population to manageable proportion and to give community dogs a valued place in society. To this end, Sarvodaya assists by fielding teams to cities and districts on the request of NGOs, panchayats and municipalities. Through the ABC program, we have sterilized numerous dogs in coordination with various organization in various cities and districts. Our humane approach to ABC and our enviable record has brought us many calls for taking up ABC projects in many areas.

Who we are?
Sarvodaya Sevabhavi Samstha was registered as a Trust in December 2011 in Bangalore. We recognize that we are not here to change the world. We are too small for that. But we also recognize that there are times when our intervention can make a difference. Which is what we seek to do. Save Life, One Animal at a Time. That is our motto.
Our Mission
We have five expert teams which are fielded to various project areas. Each field team consists of Veterinarians, male nurse, cleaner, washer, catchers and a driver. Our total staff strength is 34 people. We have a Swaraj Mazda for Ambulance cum Mobile Surgery Unit, TATA 407, Ashok Leyland, Tata Ace vehicle which serves as a dog-catching vehicle which has been modified to suit this purpose. Our team of Veterinary doctors is very dedicated and well trained in surgeries. The Animal Handlers working with us are selected very carefully. Those having compassion for animals and have a feeling of love and care for them are recruited. They are trained under the guidance of our senior Veterinarians. They get trained to provide primary medical attention in the absence of the Veterinarian. Our fleet of Volunteers is very dedicated and is always working for the welfare of the animals in every possible way.
